What you actually need to run

Most houses lose comfort first, then food. A Wi-Fi router is about 10 W. LED lamps are 10–40 W. A modern fridge is the load that decides the size: roughly 100–200 W while the compressor is on, and about 1–2 kWh over a full day depending on the box and how often you open it.

A microwave, space heater, or window AC will drain a portable station in minutes. Skip those on battery. A sump pump is possible on the 2 kWh units if it stays within 2,200–2,400 W.

128–512 Wh — phones, a router, maybe a CPAP

The BLUETTI Elite 10 (128 Wh, 200 W, 4 lb) covers phones and a lamp. It is not a heated CPAP night and it is not a fridge. The EcoFlow RIVER 2 (256 Wh, 7.7 lb), Jackery Explorer 300 Plus (288 Wh, 300 W), and BLUETTI Elite 30 V2 (288 Wh, 600 W) cover phones, the router, and a lamp. The Elite 30 is still not a heated CPAP night. The RIVER 2 Max (512 Wh) is the smallest unit here that can cover a heated CPAP night, with little spare. None of these is a fridge.

768 Wh — communications only

The EcoFlow RIVER 2 Pro (17 lb, 800 W) and the BLUETTI AC70 (22.5 lb, 1,000 W) are both 768 Wh. Same job: phones, the router, a lamp, and a CPAP. Neither is a full-size fridge overnight.

1 kWh — part of a day

The EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus (1,024 Wh, 1,800 W), Jackery 1000 v2, Anker SOLIX C1000, BLUETTI AC180, and Explorer 1000 Plus (1,264 Wh, 2,000 W) can run a fridge for several hours plus lights. After inverter loss you do not have a full day of food protection. Use this class if outages where you live are short, or if you only need to bridge until you can get ice.

2 kWh — overnight fridge and lights

This is the first home-outage size we sell. The Jackery Explorer 2000 v2 (2,042 Wh, 40 lb) covers a fridge overnight with room for lights and the router. The EcoFlow DELTA 2 Max (2,048 Wh, 2,400 W, wheels) takes heavier simultaneous loads and can add expansion batteries later. The BLUETTI Elite 200 V2 (2,074 Wh, 2,600 W, 53.4 lb) is the highest continuous watts in this class.

Hours are estimates from manufacturer ratings and typical appliance draws. Your fridge, how often you open it, and inverter loss change the result. Keep the door shut.
